Pay It Forward Participation Rules

OFFICIAL RULES

1. Participants must be at least 18 years or older to participate.
2. Participants are required to present valid identification before giving a video taped response.
3. All participants will be notified when their video is uploaded to YouTube via email.
4. All Summit Credit Union (SCU) members and non-members are eligible to participate in the Pay it Forward events.
5. Limit one entry per person per branch event.
   
6. Everyone shown in a video will be required to sign the Participation Agreement before they are video taped.
7. No purchase necessary.
8. The Pay it Forward branch events will be between March 23, 2009 and May 14, 2009.
9. To be considered as a finalist, participants must follow-up on their Pay it Forward experience at SummitCreditUnion.com by May 26, 2009.
10. Ten Semi Finalists will be chosen on May 28, 2009 by a panel of SCU employees.
Visitor’s to SummitCreditUnion.com will rate their favorite Pay if Forward video from the 10 finalists. Videos may be rated from June 1-15, 2009. The Grand prize winner will be the video with the highest rating.
11. In the event of a tie, a random selection of 25 SCU employees will view the top videos that are tied and cast their votes. The video with the most votes will be the winner.
12. Grand prize winner will be contacted, via telephone, by June 22, 2009.
13. Subject to the rights of YouTube, all videos are the property of SCU; and SCU may use, sell, or license the video submission, without compensation, without further consent of anyone participating in a video.
14. SCU does not endorse any opinion, recommendation, or advice expressed in any video entry, and we expressly disclaim any and all liability in connection with video submissions.
15. Employees and volunteers of SCU, and their immediate families, are not eligible for prize awards. Immediate family includes spouse, parents, children, stepparents, and stepchildren.
16. SCU reserves the right to edit any video response for content and length purposes.

PRIZES

1. $10.00 will be given to the first 100 people at each Pay if Forward event who sign the release form and have a video taped response.
2. Grand prize is awarded to the winning video. Grand prize is $500.00 in cash and another $500.00 donated by SCU to the winner’s United Way charity of choice. Note, eligible charities will be agencies that participate in your county’s United Way program.
3. If applicable, winner is responsible for all federal, state and local taxes.

VIDEO RATING

Each video received a cumulative score by adding the number of times the video was rated along with the star rating. For example: if a video had 200 ratings of 3 stars - the cumulative score would be 600 or if a video had 3 ratings of 1 star and 2 ratings of 5 stars - the cumulative score would be 13. The video with the highest cumulative score is the winner.
